Dried Flowers: Uses of dried eucalyptus


Eucalyptuses are very renowned trees all over the world. They grow very quickly and are an inhabitant of Australia. In fact 75% of tree population of Australia is covered by these eucalyptus trees. They grow up to a height of 375-480 feet. It benefits us with its medicinal qualities. It essential oil is very important for making massage oils for giving relief to aching muscles. They not only helps in preparing medicines, many experiments have proved that their oil also uplift the spirit of human beings in the time of lows and emotional loss. When you simply apply the diluted form of their oil in our skin then it improves or rather increases the rate of absorption into the blood.

 

Their oil also helps in reducing fever as they have a cooling effect in it. People apply their oil in wounds, virus, skin ulcers and acnes for curing them up. You can also use them for oral problems. Not only for human, they also serve as good veterinary medicine.

But since here we are talking about dried eucalyptus, we need to mention areas where they are used. The dried eucalyptus are added to herb pillows and as well as sachets to freshen the cupboards.

 

In fact people use them commonly by adding them to potpourris and making deodorizers for their rooms. Moreover we can make many floral arrangements using these dried eucalyptuses. Many brooches, wreaths are what people make in arranging them. You can also make beautiful dried eucalyptus swag for your dear ones. You will need dried eucalyptus, rose buttons baby’s breath and a raffia bow. We will describe its making briefly.

 

Collect the pieces of eucalyptus, with the tips at one end and tie them up. Also do the same with other pieces of eucalyptus. Now overlap the two-wired ends of each bunch. Don’t forget to face the tips out in either direction while tying them up. Now bind them together. Now take 3” floral wire and cut it in U shape. Bend the tips of this U shape and put it into the back of eucalyptus where you have tied them. This will create a small hangar for the swag. Now glue it in proper position. Make loops with the raffia at least four for creating a bow. Wire the bow. Glue it at the center of the swag at front where the two bunches are overlapping. Now enlarge their tails in opposite directions. Now stick the rose buttons around the bow. Also glue the baby’s breath around the bow.
