Pressed Flower art is one of the many forms of floral art. It is a unique way of using nature’s pressable materials like flowers, leaves, feathers etc. to create art.

You can find many organizations these days that promote and encourage different kinds of floral arts. One of the more affluent organizations concerned in promoting the pressed flower art is the International Pressed Flower Art Society. It is a voluntary organization whose main aim is to spread the art of pressed flowers internationally. This society was established in December 1999 with the following objectives:

·     To popularize pressed flowers as a form of culture and art.

·     To provide tutorials and support to budding flower artists. To present their works in galleries and contests and also motivate them by awarding prizes.

·     To popularize pressed flower art techniques and exchange information with other flower artists. It aims in creating a friendly circle among all the flower lovers.

·     It strives to bring about nature of excellence in the work of all the floral artists. The organization also generates funds for the free learning of the talented but not so financially well of artists.

·     Lastly, the organization works tirelessly to bring about an awareness in the people regarding the importance of our “flora and fauna” and the need to protect it.
