Flower Arrangements - Ways Of Making A Teddy Bear Wreath For New Year
Once someone rightly said these lines:
“The New Year is coming; the party is near.
I’m sure looking forward to lots of good cheer.
I’ll be all dressed up in my snazziest best,
so I won’t disappear in the crowd like the rest.”
New year marks the beginning of the year that is arriving. Cherish the awesome spirit of the New Year with innovative decorative ideas.
Try making a teddy bear wreath for this New Year. Collect the following materials:
- Styrofoam wreath base
- Grapevine garlands
- Floral pins
- 20 Red silk roses
- 15 small blue silk roses
- Pearl sprays
- Greenery
- Lavender ribbon bow
- Hot glue
- Wire cutters
- Scissors
- Small teddy bear with red cap
When you begin your work at first soak the Styrofoam wreath base in water for about 20 minutes. Let the foam base remain in water until it gets well saturated. Squeeze it out from the water.
Take the grapevine garlands and wrap it around the wreath. Twist the grapevine garland all around the Styrofoam wreath base unless you have covered the entire wreath base. See that there is no gap left in the wreath base.
In order to secure the garlands use floral pins to attach it to the wreath base. Take the red and the blue silk roses. Sniff off the flower heads of both the flowers. Use wire cutters so that the flower heads do not get damage.
Cut the greenery into bunches of few leaves and tie them using a floral wire or the floral tape. Apply hot glue at the back of each rose and attach them one by one to the wreath base. Arrange the entire red silk rose in a single circle but remember to keep the grapevine visible from the back.
Similarly add glue at the back of each blue silk rose and fasten them in a spherical style but outside the circle of the red rose. While placing the flowers remember to place one blue silk rose after every two red roses.
Put the bunches of greenery on the outmost circle after the blue roses. Attach them to the grapevine using floral tape. Next add the pearl sprays to the greenery. See that the wreath you are making does not look clumsy.
Its time to place the teddy bear in the wreath frame. Apply hot glue at the back of the teddy bear and attach it to the wreath frame. At last make a large bow with ribbons and join it at the top of the wreath.
